BLA Unveils Visuals of Noshki Attack on Pakistani Army Convoy
First Glimpse of the Fatal Assault
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released the initial visuals of its deadly attack on a Pakistani military convoy in Noshki, Balochistan. The footage, shared by the group’s media wing, Hakkal, reportedly displays the aftermath of the assault, which the BLA asserts led to the deaths of 90 Pakistani army personnel.
Details of the Noshki Attack
- The BLA’s Majeed Brigade and Special Unit Fateh Squad allegedly conducted the ambush.
- A vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) targeted a convoy of eight buses on the RCD Highway near Rakshan Mill.
- One bus was obliterated in the explosion, and the BLA claims to have methodically eliminated all military personnel aboard.
Pakistani Authorities Dispute Casualty Count
However, Pakistani authorities have contested the casualty count. Noshki police official Mohammed Zafar informed AFP that a vehicle filled with explosives hit one of the seven buses in the convoy heading toward Taftan, and that only five paramilitary troops were killed.
Escalating Tensions in Balochistan
The visuals’ release occurs amid escalating tensions in Balochistan, days after the BLA commandeered the Jaffar Express, taking over 450 passengers hostage before Pakistani forces claimed to have neutralized the attackers.
